Documentation

The petrolingular ligament .

This ligament attaches to the sphenoidal lingula and is not related to the tongue, nor to any entity involved with the language. But by an unexplained shift of the traditional English language, its name was transformed to petrolingual ligament, lingual meaning related to the tongue or by extension related to the language. Nothing justify to maintain such a name and only the semantically correct name has been retained. The synonym inferior sphenopetrosal ligament is also valid.
